Lincoln Inn now part of Best Western hotel chain

LINCOLN - There is a new look to go along with a new name for theformer Lincoln Inn.

The 58-room Lincoln hotel has been remodeled and has joined theBest Western chain, said owner Paresh Patel. The move allows thehotel, 1750 Fifth St., to maintain its history. It will be known asthe Best Western Lincoln Inn.

"We're very excited about the renovation and the move to BestWestern," Patel said of the business, which opened in 1982.

Patel recently showed off the updates to the Abraham LincolnTourism Bureau board. Renovations were made to each of the rooms,the lobby and business center.

"They have really done a lot of work, yet kept the historicsignificance to the city," said tourism executive director GeoffLadd.

Hotel amenities include a 24-hour fitness center and acomplimentary hot breakfast. Each room is equipped with a 32-inchplasma television and complimentary high-speed Internet access.

The hotel also includes a business center with printing andfaxing services and 350 square feet of meeting space.

Rates start at $79 per night.

"We're proud to add the Lincoln Inn to our chain," said MarkWilliams, vice president of North American development for BestWestern International. "There is a great deal of history inLincoln's namesake city and this should be an ideal location forhistory buffs as well as business guests."
