VIC: Inquest into murdered Moe toddler: newspaper report
MELBOURNE, Dec 8 AAP - The state coroner will hold an inquest into murdered Moe toddler
Jaidyn Leskie, according to a newspaper report today.
A spokesman for the coroner yesterday confirmed an inquest would be held next year on
Jaidyns death, the "Herald Sun" report said.
A spokesman for the coroner reportedly told the newspaper that is was general knowledge an
indictable offence had been committed - it was a matter of establishing who committed it.
"He (the coroner) could point the DPP (Department of Public Prosecutions) in the direction
of a new investigation, but whether the DPP takes up that option is another thing," the
spokesman reportedly said.
A Supreme Court jury last Friday acquitted 30-year-old Greg Domaszewicz of murdering
Jaidyn.
The toddler disappeared from Mr Domaszewiczs Moe home in June 14 last year.
His body was later found in a lake near the town on January 1 this year.
