NSW: Mourners pay respects to NSW MP
Hundreds of mourners gathered in St James Parish Church in central Sydney today to
pay their respects to retired New South Wales Labor MP KEITH ENDERBURY.
Past and present politicians, including New South Wales Liberal leader KERRY CHIKAROVSKI,
attended the funeral of the popular ex-parliamentarian who died in hospital last week
from burns to 95 per cent of his body.
Mr ENDERBURY'S youngest son, CHRISTIAAN DOUGLAS ENDERBURY, appeared in court last week
on charges in relation to the fire in their home unit.
He has been remanded in custody for a further court appearance on October 10.
Mr ENDERBURY, 65, entered state parliament in May 1984 after spending eight years as
an ALP state organiser.
He retired in March 1995, saying at the time he wanted to spend more time with his children.
