Vic: Fire destroys shop in Fitzroy North
Strong winds fanned a fire in Melbourne's inner north this morning, destroying a three
storey building.
Firefighters arrived at the health food shop on Queens Parade, North Fitzroy around
1.20am to find all floors of the building well alight but no-one inside.
A Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services spokesman says firefighters were forced
to take extra precautions because of falling bricks and concerns about the stability of
very high external walls.
